Welcome back to Creative Characters. This time around we’ve got something special theme-wise. Double, double toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble…..that’s right, witches. In this case, all of our characters will be members of a coven, either full or multiclass witches, displaying the wide variety of possible builds.
For the sake of reference, and consistency, all characters here are created with the Elite stat array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) and all hit points are rolled as averages. They are also written so that they can be used as either NPCs or PCs.
First up, Urlau, a practitioner of the feral primal magic of the Bouda.

During Combat Urlau engages in combat with full commitment, blending her spells and physical attacks to overwhelm her enemies, working with her coven sisters as effectively as she did with her old pack…perhaps even more so. She approaches battle like a consummate predator, preferring to weaken, disable or even immobilize her prey so that she can savor their fear when she closes in for the kill.

Born Predator (Ex)
Half-gnolls are predisposed towards being hunters. Whenever Urlau attacks an enemy currently suffering from a condition, she deals an extra 1d4 damage.
Bouda’s Eye (Su)
Urlau’s gaze can bestow ill fortune on her enemies. This hex can affect a creature within 30 feet that she can see. The target takes a –2 penalty on one of the following (Urlau’s choice): AC, ability checks, attack rolls, saving throws, or skill checks. The hex lasts for 6 rounds. A successful Will saving throw reduces the duration of the hex to 1 round. Once per day when the Urlau uses this hex, she can impose two different penalties on the target instead of just one. Since she has also taken the evil eye hex, it increases the number of different penalties she can impose on the hex’s target by 1.
Urlau keeps a small fetish: a carved bone idol of a hyena matron.
Her spells come from the will of evil spirits residing in the fetish, and its ability to hold spells functions in a manner identical to the way a witch’s spells are granted by her familiar. Urlau must commune with her fetish each day to prepare her spells and can only prepare spells stored in the fetish.
Urlau can use her fetish to deliver touch spells once times per day. When casting a touch spell, as a free action she can use this ability. When she does, she can deliver her spell as a ranged touch spell within a range of 30 feet.
From the moment of her conception, Urlau’s life has been defined by violence. Clawing her way through the ranks of her pack, smaller and weaker, but with an intelligence and drive that exceeded her peers, and a gift for the dark power of her patron that quickly saw her rise to power.
A rise that angered many of the full gnolls eclipsed in her wake, so much so that she was attacked by a group of her subordinates. An attack that failed, but left the young bouda near death in the wilderness. Discovered by the woodsmen of a nearby village, she surely would have perished was it not for the appearance of the dark sisters, who came to her aid and adopted her into their coven, providing her with a new sort of strength.
