SPECIAL ABILITIES

Break Mind (Su)

As a full-round action, that provokes attacks of opportunity, the angothian can open a target’s mind, giving them a glimpse of the loss at the center of the angothian’s soul. This causes 10d6 points of damage to the target and they are staggered for 1d6 rounds. A DC 21 Will save negates the damage, and the creature is only staggered for a round. This has a maximum range of 60 feet and not affect constructs or unintelligent creatures. This save DC is Charisma-based.

Fireblast (Ex)

An angothian can fire blasts of fire to damage foes. These fireblasts have a maximum range of 60 feet.

Reconstruction (Ex)

An angothian can absorb materials and minerals from the area around him, reconstructing a damaged body. This takes an hour, and any living creature caught in a 60 ft. radius must make a Fortitude save DC 21 or be destroyed as per disintegrate. A successful save means that no damage is taken, but the angothian still returns to full hit points. This save DC is Charisma-based.

ABOUT

Environment any
Organization solitary

Angothians are a race of mechanical creatures, having transcended biological forms when they were facing slow extinction, as the radiation from a star close to their homeworld, made the race sterile. Various methods of trying to cure the radiation were researched and found, but the cure would take too long to take effect, so the race took refuge in mechanical bodies. Only a few survived the operation, however, and they have since scattered among the stars.

Their experiences have left them somewhat bitter, but the memories of their dead friends and families drive them on, even if they no longer feel the pleasure or sadness about those lost times that they did when they were alive. This experience has left them feeling hollow, and while they are not necessarily hostile to other beings, they prefer to be left alone with their thoughts, interacting only as much as is necessary.
