Saturday Potpourri – Time Shifted Bloodline (Sorcerer Bloodline)

Time Shifted (Sorcerer Bloodline)

You were surprised to learn that others view the flow of time as a constant, like the movement of the stars across the sky. You know the passing of time is pliable. You have the power to stretch it or speed it up. It is a natural thing, like gradually exhaling a deep breath to slow the beating of your heart.

Class Skill: Perception.

Bonus Spells: memory lapse (3rd), twisted futures (5th), haste (7th), divination (9th), permanency (11th), contingency (13th), temporal divergence (15th), moment of prescience (17th), time stop (19th).

Bonus Feats: Alertness, Combat Casting, Dodge, Improved Initiative, Lightning Reflexes, Mobility, Quicken Spell, Skill Focus (Perception).

Bloodline Arcana: You are considered to have CL +1 when determining the duration of spells you cast. Spells that enemies cast against you are considered CL -1 when determining their duration.

Bloodline Powers: Time is a tool. Time is a weapon. As you unlock the secrets of the nature of time, your array of tools and weapons grows.

Forward Shift (Su)

At 1st level, three times per day when you roll for initiative, you can add your Charisma modifier to the result.

Time Twitch (Su)

At 3rd level, as a standard action, you can flicker in and out of time, gaining concealment (as the blur spell) for 1 minute. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Speed or Slow Time (Sp)

At 9th level,as a standard action, you can speed up or slow down time, as either the haste or slow spell. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Erase from Time (Su)

At 15th level, as a melee touch attack, two times per day, you can temporarily remove a creature from time altogether. The target creature must make a Fortitude (DC 10 + ½ your sorcerer level + your Charisma modifier) save or vanish completely for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your sorcerer level. No magic or divinations can detect the creature during this time, as it exists outside of time and space—in effect, the creature ceases to exist for the duration of this ability. At the end of the duration, the creature reappears unharmed in the space it last occupied (or the nearest possible space, if the original space is now occupied).

Quickened Casting (Su)

At 20th level, as a swift action, you may quicken (as per the metamagic feat) any spell you cast without paying the level increase cost. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

About mmiller

Mike Miller first discovered RPG’s in the days of TSR. The mention of a beholder or mind flayer still twists his guts with nervous dread, though now with a tinge of nostalgia. He had no publishing experience prior to writing for the OGN, (unless you consider one year as editor of a University Historical Review), but has long enjoyed creating histories and legends for his homebrewed worlds.
