Fey-touched Warrior (Fighter Archetype)
A child of the fey-touched eldritch inheritance has a knack for using magical devices and gain the ability to read magic and resist certain spells more effectively than others. Additionally, they are able to attune to a magical item.
Class Skills
The fey-touched warrior receives Spellcraft and Use Magic Device as class skills, but doesn’t receive Knowledge (dungeoneering) as a class skill.
This ability alters the fighter’s class skills.
Skill Focus: Use Magic Device
At 1st level, the fey-touched warrior receives Skill Focus (Use Magic Device) as a bonus feat.
This ability replaces the fighter’s 1st level bonus feat.
Fey Magic
At 2nd level, the fey-touched warrior gains read magic as a spell-like ability 1/day. The DC for the spell-like ability is equal to 10 + the spell’s level + the fey-touched warrior’s Charisma modifier.
At 6th level, the fey-touched warrior gains a +2 saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.
At 10th level, the fey-touched warrior may cast read magic 3 times per day.
At 14th level, the fey-touched warrior gains a +2 saving throw bonus against illusion spells and effects.
At 18th level, the fey-touched warrior can cast read magic 5 times per day.
This ability replaces all instances of bravery.
Intuitive Activator
At 3rd level, as a swift action, the fey-touched warrior can heighten his focus when attempting to use a magic device, gaining a +5 bonus on Use Magic Device skill checks. He may do this a number of times per day equal to his Charisma modifier.
This ability replaces armor training I.
Item Attunement
At 7th level, a fey-touched warrior can spend 1 hour practicing with a magic device to designate it as his signature device. He can draw that device as a free action and can activate it without having to succeed at a Use Magic Device check. He can change his signature device once per day.
This ability replaces armor training II.
Master Activator
At 11th level, a fey-touched warrior has a chance to enhance the power of a magic device. If he exceeds the Use Magic Device DC to activate a spell completion or spell trigger item by 5 or more, he can increase the item’s caster level by 1 for determining the spell’s effect.
This ability replaces armor training III.
Item Attunement II
At 11th level, a fey-touched warrior gains a second signature device.
This ability replaces armor training IV.
